Braemar TG, TH & DGH Heaters with BSC PCB – Zoning Information and Instructions

⚠️ Safety Notice – Gas Heating Products

This appliance must only be installed, commissioned, serviced and repaired by suitably qualified and licensed personnel.

Before commencing work, complete a task-specific risk assessment and ensure gas and electrical safety requirements, ventilation provisions, safe access, adequate service clearances and appropriate PPE have been considered. All work must comply with applicable regulations, standards and manufacturer requirements.

Particular care must be taken when working around gas systems, electrical components, combustion products, hot surfaces, moving parts, roof spaces, ceiling spaces and confined spaces.

Do not proceed if safe access, required clearances, ventilation requirements, confined space risks or appropriate safety controls cannot be achieved and maintained.

Safety takes priority over diagnosis, repairs, installation schedules and customer expectations. If the task cannot be completed safely, it must not proceed until the risks have been adequately controlled.

Overview

This article provides zoning information and supporting documentation for Braemar ducted gas heaters fitted with a BSC control PCB, including:

  • Braemar TG Series
  • Braemar TH Series
  • Braemar DGH Series
  • Braemar TE Series heaters that have been converted from SPI to BSC controls using a conversion kit

For TE models, these instructions only apply where the original SPI control system has been replaced with a BSC control system and one of the following zone kits has been installed:

⚠️ Safety Warning – Authorised Personnel Only

Installation, servicing and fault-finding of zoning systems may involve exposure to 240V electrical wiring, moving components, roof spaces and confined ceiling cavities.

Before carrying out any work:

  • Isolate electrical power at the mains supply.
  • Follow all site safety procedures and local regulations.
  • Use appropriate PPE.
  • Take extra care when working in roof spaces, including heat, restricted access and electrical hazards.
  • Only suitably qualified technicians should perform electrical testing or wiring modifications.

BSC Zone System Overview

The BSC zoning system is controlled via a Braemar Spectrolink Comfort Controller (SCC) and supports up to four zones.

Zone Controller Compatibility

The Zone PCB can only be controlled by:

  • Spectrolink Comfort Controller (SCC)
  • Spectrolink Multizone Controller system

Supported Damper Types

The BSC zone system supports:

24VAC Dampers

  • Requires transformer supplied with the kit.
  • Typically used with kit 077215.

240VAC Dampers

  • Uses loom 629094 between the BSC PCB and Zone PCB.
  • Typically used with kit 077208.
