FC2 caused by water sensor probes not detecting rainwater water (or water is too pure) - 1.2k ohm resister to assist with rainwater detection
FC2 (2 red flashes) - failure to detect water at probes within 20 minutes
To assist with rainwaterter detection on units fitted with drain kits, a minor addition should permanently fix the issue without the need for the Customer or a Service tech to get up and throw a hand full of salt into the tank can be made.
It requires the fitment of a 1.2k ohm resistor across the blue and black lead connections at the plug (see picture attached).
NB: Customer needs to be aware the unit will operate correctly, however, when it does its 3-day drain delay a service 04 fault will display as probes will be detecting that water is still present. Customer needs to be assured that this is not a problem and that all they need to do is turn the wall controller off and on to reset the cooler.
