Braemar TQ Gas Heater FC30 – Loom ID Incorrect | ICS, MagIQtouch & Wiring Configuration Fault

This appliance must only be installed, commissioned, serviced and repaired by suitably qualified and licensed personnel.


Before commencing work, complete a task-specific risk assessment and ensure gas and electrical safety requirements, ventilation provisions, safe access, adequate service clearances and appropriate PPE have been considered. All work must comply with applicable regulations, standards and manufacturer requirements.

This is typically a communication or configuration issue where the heater does not recognise the connected loom or controller correctly.

When this fault commonly occurs

FC30 is most commonly seen:

  • After replacing an ICS PCBA
  • After installing or swapping a MagiQtouch controller
  • When connecting a different heater or loom
  • After system changes without reconfiguration
  • Poor connection of ID loom on ICS PCBA
