Horizon battery operated remote control cooler intermittently cutting out - fault finding procedure using a wall controller

ALWAYS REPLACE THE 3 X AAA BATTERIES AT THE START OF EVERY SUMMER SEASON

Horizon remotes send a signal to the antenna/receiver every 10 minutes, if 3 x signals are missed in a row the cooler will cut out.
The remote control requires 3 x AAA batteries. The use of good quality heavy duty alkaline batteries is recommended. Under normal conditions a set of batteries will operate for 18 months. Therefore, it is recommended that batteries are replaced at the beginning of each summer season to ensure trouble free operation.
IMPORTANT!!! Do not use rechargeable batteries as their voltage rating is took low for the remote control.

Horizon battery operated remote controls do not display fault codes and therefore accurate fault finding can only be carried out using a compatible wired wall controller
