This equipment must only be installed, commissioned, serviced and repaired by suitably qualified and licensed personnel.
Before commencing work, complete a task-specific risk assessment and ensure safe roof access, fall protection requirements, electrical isolation procedures, service clearances and appropriate PPE have been considered. All work must comply with applicable regulations, standards and manufacturer requirements.
Particular care must be taken when working at heights, in roof spaces, ceiling spaces and other restricted access areas. Additional consideration must be given to confined working conditions, electrical hazards, moving parts, water systems, wet surfaces, manual handling risks and weather conditions.
Do not proceed if safe access, weather conditions, required clearances, confined space risks or appropriate safety controls cannot be achieved and maintained.
Safety takes priority over diagnosis, repairs, installation schedules and customer expectations. If the task cannot be completed safely, it must not proceed until the risks have been adequately controlled.
Introduction
This article provides the Climate Wizard CW-H Multi-Magic Commissioning Checklist for post-2020 manufactured units equipped with the Multi-Magic PLC control system. It is intended to assist technicians during installation, start-up, commissioning, airflow balancing and performance testing of Climate Wizard Horizontal (CW-H) indirect evaporative coolers.
Following the commissioning procedure ensures the cooler operates as designed, with the correct balance between supply air and exhaust airflow through the heat exchanger cores. Proper airflow balancing is critical to achieving optimum cooling performance, system efficiency and reliable operation. Refer to the commissioning checklist and airflow balancing procedures below when completing cooler commissioning and final performance verification.
IMPORTANT: In order for the cooler to produce cool air it is mandatory that some of the inlet air is forced to return through the indirect heat exchanger cores and be exhausted to atmosphere. Therefore, only a proportion of the total inlet air is delivered into the cooled zone. THIS PROPORTION IS CRITICAL TO ACHIEVING SATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE -
