MagIQtouch RF Controller Battery Replacement Issue

If your MagIQtouch RF wall controller stops operating the appliance after replacing the batteries, even though the display is working, it might have entered diagnostic mode. This can occur if the HOME (side) button is accidentally pressed while inserting new batteries.

Common Cause:

When removing the battery cover, the controller may be placed on a surface, causing the HOME button to be pressed accidentally without the user realizing it.

Solution:

  • Remove the Batteries: Take the batteries out of the controller.
  • Re-insert the Batteries: Carefully insert the batteries, ensuring not to press the HOME (side) button accidentally.

No Need to Re-pair: The controller remains paired with the appliance, so there’s no need to re-pair it.

Future Improvements:

Seeley is working on a solution to address this issue in future software updates.

By following these steps, you can avoid accidentally entering diagnostic mode and ensure your controller operates smoothly.
