FC01 - Fault code #1 (1 red flash) Communication Failure Q Series Coolers
Click on below YouTube links for procedures:
Intermittent communication issues will be experienced if low voltage data/communication cables do not have adequate spacing between them. See below Technical Bulletin A01/16 Data/Comms and 240 Volt cable routing
To prevent intermittent communication issues with Multiple cooler installations
- Ensure communication cables are installed in series as per the below
- Ensure dip switch on last cooler is set to the "ON" position as per the below
Communication Cable (6 pins) Pt# 094694 to suit Q series heating and cooling products wiring configuration for RJ12 6P6C connectors
RPCQi compatible - 6 pin RJ connector communication cable - 1.5 metre test loom Pt# 862873
RJ12 6P6C (suitable for MagIQtouch cables)
Communication cable description - PVC sheathed 6 core 7/0.16mm (26awg) copper wires - low resistance
Termination plug end - Plug 6 pin Farnell 781-289
When dealing with communication issues Technicians should have an RJ connector Crimp tool as well as the RJ12 6P6C connectors.
Make sure the crimping tool is capable of terminating the two different types of cables used on Seeley products.
RJ12 6P6C (suitable for MagIQtouch cables) and RJ11 4P4C (suitable for older coolers EX, EXH, LCB, CPL products)
Example of a suitable Crimp tool below:
