Replaced ZCB (Zone control board) on a Multiple (Primary/Secondary) MagIQtouch system and the ZCB (zone control board) is not being found


MagIQtouch Screen displays "System modification have you changed wall controller or board" and no matter which option you select it goes back to this screen.



Fixing Compatibility Issues Between ZCB (25R0923+) and Older MagIQtouch Controllers (44R0217 and earlier)


Description:

When you replace a Zone Control Board (ZCB) Part Number 671031 on a Ducted Gas heater system with zones controlled by Primary & Secondary (Master/Slave) MagIQtouch controllers, controllers with software versions 44R0217 (2017) and earlier won't detect the new ZCB software version 25R0923 and greater.


Explanation:

Wall controllers with software version 44R0217 (2017) and older can't detect ZCB software version 25R0923 and greater.

For systems with Primary & Secondary (Master/Slave) controllers, if the ZCB is updated, all wall controllers must have software versions greater than 44R0218.

Replace All MagIQtouch Wall Controllers:

  • Replace all Primary (Master) and Secondary (Slave) MagIQtouch wall controllers with Part Number 094298RP, which has the latest software version compatible with the new ZCB software.

Steps:

  • Identify all Primary (Master) and Secondary (Slave) MagIQtouch wall controllers in the system.
  • Order replacement controllers with Part Number 094298RP.
  • Install the new controllers and ensure they have the current software versions compatible with the new ZCB software.



Convert to Single Controller Zone System:

  • Remove all Secondary (Slave) controllers and convert the system to a single controller zone system (common zone with 1 to 4 zones).
  • Ensure the temperature is monitored in the common zone where the single MagIQtouch wall controller is situated.

Steps:

  • Identify and remove all Secondary (Slave) MagIQtouch wall controllers.
  • Reconfigure the system to operate as a single controller zone system.
  • Ensure the single MagIQtouch wall controller is situated in the common zone for accurate temperature monitoring.


Convert to Single Controller No Zone System:

  • Remove all zone controls and associated equipment, converting to a single control no zone system.

Steps:

  • Identify and remove all zone controls and associated equipment.
  • Reconfigure the system to operate without zones, using a single MagIQtouch wall controller.
