TQR - Reversing the Combustion Flue Outlet – TQR Ducted Gas Heater
Safety Precautions
- Ensure power is disconnected before beginning work.
- Avoid damaging electrical leads or components.
- Use appropriate PPE when handling heater components.
Required Tools
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Cable ties (for re-securing wires)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Remove Side Panels
- Remove the side panels from the fan end of the heater.
- Important: Leave electrical leads connected to the combustion fan to avoid damage.
- If leads are too tight, remove the earth lead or 1–2 cable ties as needed.

Step 2: Remove Combustion Fan
- Unscrew the three Phillips head screws securing the combustion fan.
- Check that the silicone "O" ring is in place and secure.
- Ensure the flue choke tab is correctly positioned on the flue pan.


Step 3: Rotate and Reinstall Fan
- Rotate the combustion fan 180 degrees.
- Align the fan feet with the three pre-drilled holes on the flue pan.
- Refit the screws to secure the fan.

Step 4: Refit Side Panels
- Reinstall the side panels onto the heater.
- Use cable ties to secure all wires, ensuring no cables can contact hot surfaces.

Final Checks
- Confirm all screws are tight.
- Ensure wiring is safely routed and secured.
- Restore power and test for proper operation.
