Beam Lengths by Cooler Model (Frame Configuration)
| Cooler Model | Frame Kit | Details of Beam Assembly |
|---|---|---|
| RPS | SMF1 | Four beams at 946 mm long using hole “A” (Figure 2) for connector bolts. |
| RPM | SMF2 | Four beams at 1370 mm long using hole “B” (Figure 3) for connector bolts. |
| RPL | SMF2 | Four beams at 1830 mm long using hole “E” (Figure 3) for connector bolts. |
| CW‑H15 | SMF2 | Two beams at 1690 mm using hole “C”; two beams at 1190 mm using hole “A” (Figure 3). Cut 1190 mm Side Beam Inserts between holes “A” and “B”. After cutting, apply a cold galvanised coating to exposed steel. |
Safety & Standards
- Region suitability: Designed to Australian Standards; suitable for non‑cyclonic regions A, B & W in Australia or New Zealand.
- Applicability: SMF series frames are designed only for Seeley International RPS, RPM, RPL, CW‑H units—not approved for other applications.
- Structural responsibility: Suitability of roof/building and the method used to secure frames and units lies with the installer / consultant / builder / project manager. Seeley International accepts no responsibility for third‑party actions contrary to instructions.
Tools & Materials (Recommended)
- Socket set & torque wrench (capable of 3 / 15 / 30 Nm)
- Drill/driver for Tex screws (M8)
- Metal cutting tools (for CW‑H15 short-side inserts)
- Cold galvanised coating (for post‑cut protection)
- Spirit level / digital inclinometer (roof pitch & frame level)
- PPE: gloves, safety glasses, fall protection as per site policy
(Derived from installation context and required fasteners; adhere to local site safety requirements.)
Assembly Instructions
A. Roof Mounting Beams (Base Rails)
- Create two Roof Mounting Beams (4800 mm each): Slide two Mounting Beams (Item 1) over one Mounting Beam Connector (Item 2).
- Fix with M8 screws (8 off): Secure each beam assembly to the connector using Tex M8 screws (min. torque 3 Nm).
B. Frame Beams
- Assemble four Frame Beams: Join Centre Side Beams (Item 3) and Side Beam Inserts (Item 4) using M10×65 bolts (min. torque 15 Nm) to achieve the required lengths for the cooler model (see table above; refer to Figures 2 & 3).
C. Corner Supports & Feet
- Attach Corner Support Feet (Item 7): Use M14×100 bolts (min. torque 30 Nm) to fasten feet to Corner Supports (Items 5 & 6).
- Insert Frame Beams into Corner Supports: Consider roof pitch (0°–10°) and unit orientation before bolting with M10×65 bolts. Place smaller corner supports on the high side of the roof. Fit 50×50 SHS end caps after cutting threaded bar so it sits ≥ 5 mm below the tube end.
D. Positioning & Securing
- Set Roof Mounting Beams on roof: Position the two 4800 mm assemblies, then place the completed roof stand onto them. Check and adjust for level; tighten Lock Nuts (Item 8, M24) to secure.
- Fix Corner Support Feet to Roof Mounting Beams: Use M8 screws (8 off) to secure each foot to the base rails.
- Secure entire assembly to roof: Complete per standard roofing practices and site engineering requirements.
CW‑H15 Special Notes
- For short side beams (1190 mm): Cut Side Beam Inserts between holes “A” and “B”.
- After cutting, apply cold galvanised coating to protect exposed steel surfaces.

Common Pitfalls & Tips
- Roof pitch check: Verify high/low sides to correctly position small corner supports on the high side.
- Torque discipline: Under‑torquing M10/M14 bolts can lead to frame shift; use calibrated torque tools at 15 Nm and 30 Nm.
- Post‑cut protection: For CW‑H15, failure to apply cold galvanised coating after cutting can lead to corrosion.
- Leveling before final fix: Always level frame before tightening M24 lock nuts and fixing to roof.
Compliance & Disclaimer
These frames are designed with due care for mounting RPS, RPM, RPL, CW‑H units. Not approved for other uses. Suitability of the roof/building and the securing methods are the responsibility of the installer and project stakeholders. Seeley International accepts no responsibility for third‑party actions contrary to instructions. Install only in non‑cyclonic
regions (A, B & W).
