Overview

Program mode allows you to automatically run your ducted gas heater based on a daily schedule.

  • The system uses a 7-day program
  • Each day is divided into 4 time periods
  • The controller will follow the schedule only when Program Mode is active

Video Guide

Watch how to set up Program Mode

How Program Mode Works (Ducted Gas Heating)

Each day is divided into four fixed time periods:

Time PeriodIntended Use (example only)
WakeSystem turns on before you get up
AwaySystem turns off or reduces heating while house is empty
HomeSystem turns on before you return
SleepSystem turns off or reduces temperature overnight

⚠️ These labels are fixed. You can only change:

  • Start time
  • ON / OFF status
  • Set temperature

How to Set Up Program Mode

Step 1 – Enter Program Mode

  1. Press PROGRAM on the controller
  2. Select EDIT to begin programming

Step 2 – Select the Day(s)

  • Choose a single day or multiple days to edit
  • You can apply the same schedule across multiple days

Step 3 – Set Each Time Period

For each of the four time periods:

  1. Select the time period (Wake / Away / Home / Sleep)
  2. Set the start time
  3. Select:
    • ON (heater runs to set temperature), or
    • OFF (heater will not run)
  4. Set the required temperature
  5. Save changes

Repeat this process for all four time periods

Step 4 – Save Program

  • Confirm all settings
  • Exit back to the Program screen

The schedule is now stored in the controller

How to Run the Program

To ensure the heater follows the schedule:

  1. Set controller to PROGRAM mode
  2. Ensure the system is ON

✅ If Program Mode is not selected, the schedule will not operate

Temporary Changes (Override Function)

  • You can temporarily change the temperature during a programmed period
  • The controller will return to the programmed schedule at the next time period

✔ This does not permanently change the program

Key Limitations (Important for Customers)

  • Program mode always uses 4 predefined time periods per day
  • You cannot add extra time periods
  • You cannot rename the time periods
  • Settings apply only when PROGRAM mode is active

(All behaviour above is consistent with controller operation shown in the manual and video)

Common Issues

Program not running

  • Controller is not in PROGRAM mode
  • System is turned OFF

Heater turning off unexpectedly

  • The current time period is set to OFF

Temperature not matching expectations

  • Check the set temperature for the active time period
  • Confirm the correct day is programmed

Summary

  • 7-day programmable schedule
  • 4 fixed time periods per day: Wake, Away, Home, Sleep
  • Each period controls: time, ON/OFF, temperature
  • Program only runs when PROGRAM mode is selected
