MagIQtouch Controller – Program Timer Mode Setup for Evaporative Cooling Systems 

Overview

Program mode allows you to automatically operate your evaporative cooling system using a scheduled timer.

• Uses a 7-day program
• Each day is divided into 4 time periods
• Settings only operate when PROGRAM mode is active

How Program Mode Works (Cooling)

Each day is divided into four fixed time periods:

⚠️ These time periods are fixed:

• Cannot be renamed
• Cannot be added to or removed

You can only adjust:

• Start time
• ON / OFF status
• Cooling setpoint (temperature or fan behaviour depending on mode)

How to Set Up Program Mode

Step 1 – Enter Program Mode

1. Press PROGRAM on the controller
2. Select EDIT

This opens the program setup screen

Step 2 – Select Day(s)

• Select a single day or group of days
• Same settings can be applied to multiple days

Step 3 – Configure Each Time Period

For each period (Wake / Away / Home / Sleep):

1. Select the time period
2. Set the start time
3. Choose:
   • ON → cooling will operate
   • OFF → cooling will not run
4. Set:
   • Temperature (if using TEMP mode), or
   • Cooling behaviour based on system setup
5. Save the selection

Repeat for all four time periods

Step 4 – Repeat for Other Days

• Adjust each day as required
• Or copy similar settings across multiple days

Step 5 – Save Program

• Confirm and exit the program screen

The schedule is now stored in the controller

How to Run the Cooling Program

For the schedule to operate:

1. Set the controller to PROGRAM mode
2. Ensure the system is ON

✅ If either of these is not set, the program will not run

Temporary Changes (Override)

• You can adjust the temperature during a programmed period
• This is a temporary override only
• The controller will return to the programmed schedule at the next time period

Key Limitations (Important for Customers)

• Only 4 time periods per day are available
• Cannot create custom time blocks outside these
• Program runs only in PROGRAM mode
• System behaviour depends on how the cooling mode is configured (temperature-controlled or manual airflow)

Common Issues

Program not running

• Controller is not set to PROGRAM mode
• System is OFF

System running at unexpected times

• Check the active time period
• Confirm ON/OFF status for that period

Cooling not operating during program

• Time period may be set to OFF
• Temperature setting may not require cooling
