KDHA Wi-Fi Setup – EWPE App Connection (XE7C‑24/HC & LE60 Zone Control)

Purpose

This article explains what hardware is required and how to configure the EWPE (Ewpe Smart) Wi‑Fi App for Braemar KDHA ducted systems, using either:
  • XE7C‑24/HC standard supplied wired wall controller (Wi‑Fi built in), or
  • LE60‑13/GH‑B Zone Control kit using the ME31‑00/C13 Wi‑Fi module

Wi‑Fi Connection Methods for KDHA

Option 1 – XE7C‑24/HC Wired Wall Controller (Wi‑Fi Built‑In)

✅ Most common / simplest setup
  • All KDHA ducted units are supplied with the XE7C‑24/HC wired wall controller.
  • The XE7C‑24/HC has integrated Wi‑Fi — no external Wi‑Fi module is required.
  • The controller connects directly to the EWPE (Ewpe Smart) app once Wi‑Fi is enabled and configured.

  • ❌ No ME31‑00/C13 Wi‑Fi module required

Option 2 – LE60‑13/GH‑B Zone Control Kit (Zoned Systems)

✅ Used when zoning is required
When a KDHA system is installed with the LE60 Zone Control kit, Wi‑Fi is not built into the LE60 interface.
To enable EWPE app connectivity, an external Wi‑Fi module must be added.
Required hardware
  • ✅ LE60‑13/GH‑B Zone Control kit
  • ✅ Wired wall controller supplied with LE60 kit
  • ✅ ME31‑00/C13 Wi‑Fi module (optional additional part)
Without the ME31‑00/C13, the EWPE app will not connect.

EWPE App – Connection Procedure (Both Methods)

The EWPE app setup process is the same regardless of whether Wi‑Fi comes from the XE7C‑24/HC controller or the ME31‑00/C13 module.

1. Install EWPE App

  • Download “Ewpe Smart” from the App Store or Google Play
  • Register or log in to an EWPE account

2. Reset Wi‑Fi on the Controller / Module

Ensure the unit is powered ON.
From the wired controller:
  1. Press Menu / OK
  2. Navigate to Set
  3. Select Reset Wi‑Fi
  4. Confirm reset
✅ Wi‑Fi reset is successful when:
  • "Reset Succeeded" is shown, or
  • The Wi‑Fi icon flashes every 0.5 seconds

3. Add Device in EWPE App

  1. Open the EWPE app
  2. Tap Add Device / +
  3. Select Air Conditioner / Wired Controller
  4. Connect to the appliance Wi‑Fi
  5. Select the customer’s home Wi‑Fi network
  6. Enter the Wi‑Fi password
  7. Follow on‑screen prompts
