Step 1 – Check Your Phone or Tablet

Confirm:

✅ Flight Mode is OFF

✅ Internet is working

✅ Mobile data or Wi‑Fi is connected

✅ Other apps can access the internet

✅ Latest current version of the App is being used

Try uninstalling the App, turn your phone or tablet completely off. Turn phone on again and reinstall the app.

If your phone cannot access the internet, the MagIQtouch app will not work.

Step 2 – Check Your Home Internet Connection

Confirm:

✅ Router is powered on

✅ Other devices can access the internet

✅ No ISP outage exists

✅ Router has not recently been replaced or reset

If your internet is down, the app cannot communicate with your system.

Step 3 – Check the Wi‑Fi Network

MagIQtouch only supports:

✅ 2.4GHz Wi‑Fi

It does NOT support:

❌ 5GHz only networks

If your Wi‑Fi network does not appear:

  1. Log into your router.
  2. Ensure 2.4GHz Wi‑Fi is enabled.
  3. Select the 2.4GHz network from the wall controller.
  4. Enter the Wi‑Fi password carefully.

Step 4 – Check Wi‑Fi Signal Strength

On the wall controller navigate to:

Settings → MagIQtouch App Setup → Wi‑Fi Connection → View Wi‑Fi Signal Strength

Aim for:

✅ Minimum 3 bars

If signal strength is low:

  • Move the router closer
  • Improve Wi‑Fi coverage
  • Consider a Wi‑Fi extender

Step 5 – Check the Wall Controller Wi‑Fi Connection

Navigate to:

Settings → MagIQtouch App Setup

Confirm:

✅ Connected to home Wi‑Fi

✅ Correct network selected

✅ Correct Wi‑Fi password entered

If you recently changed router or modem, reconnect the controller to the new Wi‑Fi network.

Step 6 – Check Your MagIQtouch Account Login

Navigate to:

Settings → MagIQtouch App Setup → Account Login

Confirm:

✅ Correct email address

✅ Correct password

✅ Same account used on all devices

Passwords are case-sensitive.

Forgot Your Password?

  1. Open the MagIQtouch App.
  2. Select Forgot Password.
  3. Follow the password reset process.
  4. Log back into the app.
  5. Update the same password in the wall controller.

The new password must be entered into both the app and wall controller.

App Says "Cannot Connect to System"

This message usually means the app cannot communicate with the wall controller.

Possible causes:

  • Home internet unavailable
  • Router disconnected
  • Wall controller not logged into account
  • Weak Wi‑Fi signal
  • Router recently changed
  • Power outage
  • System requires an update

Recommended checks:

✅ Internet working

✅ Wall controller connected to Wi‑Fi

✅ Account logged in

✅ Signal strength above 3 bars

✅ Re-open app after checks

No Wi‑Fi Options Appear on the Wall Controller

Navigate to:

Settings → General → Software Revision

Confirm the controller software is compatible.

Must be 44R0218 or higher for single controller systems and 44R0418 for multiple controller system?

Then check:

Settings → Service

Look for:

✅ Wi‑Fi Smart Control

If Wi‑Fi Smart Control does not appear:

  • The Wi‑Fi module may not be installed
  • The system may not be Wi‑Fi compatible

App Update Messages

If prompted to update:

  1. Accept the update.
  2. Allow completion.
  3. Reopen the app if required.

Continue updating until update messages no longer appear.

Can Multiple Phones Control the System?

Yes.

Multiple devices can connect provided:

✅ Same MagIQtouch account is used

The most recent device to make a change takes control.

Can I Still Operate My System Without Wi‑Fi?

The wall controller continues to operate the heating or cooling system even when:

  • Internet is unavailable
  • Wi‑Fi is unavailable
  • Mobile app is unavailable

Only remote app control is affected.
